MEMBERSHIP OF THE WHITTLESFORD SOCIETY OPEN TO ALL

As a member of the Whittlesford Society you will receive our journal, ‘Whither Whittlesford’, which is published at least twice a year and focused on the local history and natural history of Whittlesford. We organise regular activities including excursions to places of local interest, guided walks, meetings with expert guest speakers and exhibitions of photographs, memorabilia and archaeological finds from Whittlesford’s past.

At the moment the society has two active subgroups, one of which is researching what happened to Whittlesford during the First World War and one of which is engaged in archaeology and is finding material in the vicinity of the church, going back from Norman through Anglo Saxon to Roman to Iron Age Whittlesford.

The cost of membership is £4 per household and £2 for pensioner households.

If you would like to join the Whittlesford Society, please contact our membership secretary Lindsay Button by e.mail:  mike.smart254@btopenworld.com, by telephone: 837038, or at 5 Parsonage Barn, West End, Whittlesford CB22 4LX
